Over three days until Sunday, 480 cultural institutions in 184 cities throughout the country will be showering seniors with attractions including dance classes, meetings with writers, lectures and workshops.

Other events include theatre and opera performances, film screenings, concerts and museum tours, in addition to computer classes and travels in the virtual world, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

The "Culture 60+" campaign is held every year on the first weekend of autumn by cultural institutions across the country following an initiative by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, according to the IAR news agency.

As part of the campaign, museums, theatres, concert halls, culture centres, operas, art galleries, libraries and other cultural institutions open their doors wide to seniors, offering them free admission or heavy discounts.
