The film, a Polish-Irish co-production, tells the story of an 18-year-old Pole who travels to Ireland to collect the body of her father following his death in a work accident.
I Never Cry is Domalewski’s second feature. His debut film Silent Night won the top accolade at the Polish Film Festival in 2017.
Domalewski, 37, graduated in acting from the Drama Academy in Kraków, southern Poland, in 2009, before taking up studies in film directing.
Founded in 1953, the San Sebastian festival is one of Europe’s most prestigious events of its kind.
This year’s 68th edition runs from September 18 to 26.
