The opera, staged by Tomasz Man, was originally planned to open in May, but needed to be postponed because of the lockdown. As it turned out, the opera tackles a subject which proved very much relevant to the times - its two main characters are hoping to bring from the future a remedy for a fatal illness. As composer Francesco Bottigliero told Elżbieta Krajewska, it was no small challenge for the Baltic Opera to reopen its doors and invite audiences back in again.
