Polish wages up in Q1 2021: stats office

The average monthly wage in Poland in the first quarter of this year rose by 6.6 percent compared with the same quarter last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported.

The average gross monthly wage in the first three months of 2021 was PLN 5,681.56 (EUR 1,250, USD 1,517), the statistics office said.

The figure was 4.1 percent up on the final quarter of last year, according to the office.

The Central Statistical Office reported last month that average wages in Poland's corporate sector rose 8 percent in March compared with the same month a year earlier.
