The Polish pavilion in the United Arab Emirates welcomed more than 1 million visitors and won two prestigious awards, according to officials.

"The first thought that comes to my mind would be: 'We did very, very well,'" Adrian Malinowski, Commissioner General of the Polish Pavilion, told Danuta Isler in Dubai.

"Out of the 216 pavilions, we were in the elite group that went across the 1 million mark for visitors," Malinowski said.

"We hosted more than 1,000 events, 100 of which were created in collaboration with other countries around the globe," he added. "This has been a very good Expo for us."
