Poland offers to help rebuild Ukraine: audio report

Poland is ready to play an active role in the reconstruction of Ukraine, a Polish deputy prime minister said on Tuesday.

The two-day Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, southern Switzerland, attracted a host of international officials and NGOs aiming to set out a roadmap for the postwar reconstruction of Ukraine.

Piotr Gliński spoke as Western allies met in Switzerland to adopt the principles and priorities for rebuilding the war-torn country at an estimated cost of at least USD 750 billion.

“Ukraine needs significant financial and reconstruction assistance here and now and we should be ready to offer it straight away,” Gliński said.
