To mark the occasion, a special brochure was published, called “100 Years of Diplomatic Relations Between Luxembourg and Poland – from A to Z."

It offers an overview of facts and anecdotes symbolic of the two countries' shared history.

Some 5,000 Poles live in Luxembourg and, according to the country's embassy in Warsaw, Luxembourg is making efforts to promote itself as an international business hub.

"Luxembourg is an open society; we are inside the internal market and inside the European Union, so basically there are no restrictions for anybody from Poland," Paul Schmit, Luxembourg's ambassador to Warsaw, told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler.

"We have 5,000 Polish citizens residing and working in Luxembourg, and the business environment is being made as welcoming as possible," he added.
