Waldemar Kraska announced the figure in an interview with public broadcaster Polish Radio on Friday.
He said: “Since the war started, 3,000 Ukrainian children have been born in Poland.”
Kraska told Polish Radio that every child born in Poland must be vaccinated against various diseases "and this also applies to Ukrainian children."
He added that "thanks to the government’s outreach programme" and the help of Ukrainian physicians, vaccination levels among Ukrainian children were similar to those for Polish children.
For instance, “92 percent of Ukrainian children have been vaccinated against tuberculosis, and 93 percent against viral hepatitis,” he said.
Polish Health Minister Adam Niedzielski has recommended that young refugees from Ukraine, up to the age of 19, who have not been jabbed against contagious diseases, should be vaccinated in Poland, state news agency PAP reported.
Friday is day 149 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
