In an interview with state news agency PAP, Andrii Sybiha, a senior aide and foreign policy advisor to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that one of the most important elements of the aid is Polish equipment.

“These are the world-renowned (cannon howitzers) Krab, which have demonstrated their capabilities on the battlefield, there are also Piorun (air defense systems) and many other types of armaments”, Sybiha said.

He also hailed Poland's leading role in every area it has occupied since the first hours of Russia's open aggression against Ukraine. From military aid to showing the warmth of their hearts”.

Referring to a reopening of Polish Institute in Kyiv, which moved into a new, bigger headquarters last Monday, he said that “it shows our common history and present, as well as cooperation, which has received a new impetus and a new dimension for our alliance”.

Sybiha also highlighted the role of Polish people who welcomed Ukrainian war refugees in their homes.

“I am also glad that a law on the special status of Poles has been adopted in Ukraine, which shows the attitude of Ukrainian society towards our brotherly nation. A similar law has been adopted in Poland”, he added.

Saturday is the 268 day of Russia’s invasion on Ukraine.
