Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during the meeting that “Either Ukraine is victorious or all of Europe will be lost.”
“We are stronger together,” he added.
Ukraine’s Denys Shmyhal added that Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland “are united by common values, and goals.”
“The meeting proved once again that we have a common vision in terms of resistance to russian aggression & Ukraine’s imminent victory,” he said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Lithuania’s Ingrida Simonyte stressed the meeting reconfirmed the country’s trilateral cooperation.
“Our support to Ukraine must and will continue till their victory and ours,” she said.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister signed a declaration on further military, financial and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Poland and Lithuania also committed to support Ukraine in its post-war reconstruction.
Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine work together as part of a three-way initiative known as the Lublin Triangle. It aims to enhance the three countries' political, economic and social ties while also helping Ukraine regain its territorial integrity and bring that country closer to the European Union and NATO.
