Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 463,930: report

Around 463,930 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 7,262 tanks, 13,957 armored fighting vehicles and 11,867 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 950 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,049 multiple launch rocket systems, 772 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 348 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 26 warships, and 9,461 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 793 of Russias war on Ukraine.
