“The White House calls the Defence One information ‘fake news,’ claiming that the strategy signed by Trump was published in full,” reported Marek Wałkuski, the Polish Radio correspondent in Washington.

The journalist noted, however, that the White House did not answer his question about whether any supplementary documents to the strategy include provisions aimed at “pulling” Poland and other countries away from the European Union or establishing a so-called C5 group.

Wałkuski added that Defence One maintains the document exists.

Polish experts, including Dr Witold Sokała, have emphasised the need to pay close attention to these reports on the U.S. security strategy.

“This is a new concert of powers, deliberately aligned with Putin’s interests, who - as is well known - enjoys considerable support from parts of the American far right,” Dr Sokała told Onet, commenting on the information published by Defense One.

According to Sokała, the document highlights measures intended to weaken the European Union, with Poland positioned as a potential disruptor.

“Trump is not supportive of European integration, and in this scenario our country is meant to act as a saboteur,” the expert said.

Trump also addressed the war in Ukraine during a meeting with business leaders on Wednesday.

Citing conversations with European leaders from France, Germany and the United Kingdom, the U.S. president described the discussions as involving “quite strong words,” according to the Polish state news agency PAP.

President Trump urges Ukraine to confront political realities

Trump told reporters that his recent discussions with leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom involved unusually blunt exchanges about Ukraine.

He suggested that Washington is awaiting further responses from European partners before making additional decisions on the matter.

The U.S. president also reiterated his view that Volodymyr Zelensky must adopt a more pragmatic stance in the ongoing negotiations.

The politician stressed that the United States is no longer directly financing Ukraine’s war effort, focusing instead on diplomatic efforts to secure a settlement.

Trump repeated his long-standing criticism of what he describes as widespread corruption in Ukraine and maintained that the conflict could be resolved only if both sides are willing to compromise.

Addressing previous remarks in which he suggested that Zelensky should begin accepting certain peace proposals, Trump argued that Ukraine must confront political realities, pointing in particular to the long absence of national elections and the high human cost of the war.

According to the latest information, Ukraine has submitted a revised 20-point peace proposal to the United States in an effort to end the war with Russia, ABC News confirmed on Thursday, citing a Ukrainian official.
