The Ukrainian intelligence services (HUR) have published on their website information that Russian propaganda in the east of the country is now spreading the disinformation that Ukraine is already divided, so there is no longer any escape from Russia.

Russian occupying forces in Melitopola in south-eastern Ukraine have ordered businesses to organise propaganda meetings with staff. At these meetings, staff are to be "informed" that Ukraine has already been divided and that Poland is controlling the west of the country.

The propaganda continues that the Polish zloty has been introduced into western Ukraine and is now the official currency there.

HUR suggests this disinformation is intended to demoralise the Ukrainian population.
