Handball: Poland bow out of world championship in Egypt

Poland’s national handball team has ended its world championship campaign in Egypt with a 23:23 draw against Germany.

After Monday’s match, their last in the second round of the tournament, the Poles finished fourth in group I.

Spain and Hungary have made it into the quarter-finals from the group.

The final of the championship is to be held on January 31 in Cairo.

In an earlier stage of the tournament, Poland beat Brazil 33:23, won 30:28 against Tunisia and lost 26:27 to Spain.
