On Wednesday, Rau will meet with France’s top diplomat Catherine Colonna to discuss "Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine and joint efforts by Poland and France to address it," the Polish foreign ministry said in a statement.

It added that the talks would also focus on "Polish-French economic cooperation, including its military aspect, and the conclusion of specific economic undertakings" planned for the near future.

On Thursday, Rau will meet with the chairman of the Movement of the Enterprises of France, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, and visit a Polish library in Paris, according to Polish foreign ministry spokesman Łukasz Jasina.

Rau's talks in Paris will also touch on cooperation as part of the Weimar Triangle group, which was set up by Poland, France and Germany in the early 1990s to help overcome divisions in Europe.

In late May, Rau and Colonna met in Warsaw to discuss European security and political and humanitarian support for Ukraine, according to an announcement at the time.
