The attack took place at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Ukraine’s Interfax news agency reported.

Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko told reporters: "Kherson. Russia has again killed civilian Ukrainians. Today, around 11:00, the enemy attacked the only working hypermarket in Kherson."

The minister added: “Three killed, five wounded as of now. These are employees and visitors of the institution. All operational services are on site,” as quoted by Interfax.

Russian strikes hit Ukraine’s Kropyvnytskyi, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s state broadcaster Suspilne reported that Russia attacked Ukraine with 26 ‘Shahed’ drones during the night.

Air defence forces shot down 21 of them in the centre, south and east of the country, Suspilne added, citing Ukraine’s air force.

The assault included a third nightly round of attacks on the capital Kyiv in six days, but air defence systems eliminated the Shahed drones sent over the city, with no initial reports of casualties or destruction, according to officials.

Meanwhile, in the central city of Kropyvnytskyi, an oil depot was attacked at night, while in Dnipro, also in central Ukraine, an administrative building was hit, officials said.

In the southern Mykolaiv region, “due to an attack on the Kutsurubsk community, private households were occupied,” but “people were not injured,” Suspilne reported.

Ukraine’s state broadcaster added that in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, “the private sector was targeted: one house was completely destroyed, two were heavily damaged, and about 40 more houses had broken windows,” but “there are no injured.”

Meanwhile, “drones also attacked Kostyantynivka in Donetsk region at night: a country house and an infrastructure object were destroyed, five high-rise buildings were damaged,” Suspilne also reported, as cited by Britain’s The Guardian newspaper.

Wednesday is day 434 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
